Delete your account and data
Last updated: 1 October 2026
This page applies to Nakshatra, published by HeloCode Labs on Google Play
under the package name io.helocode.nakshatra.
01Deleting from inside the app
Open the app, tap the settings icon in the top bar, and choose Delete my details. You will be asked to confirm.
This happens immediately and cannot be undone. It removes:
- the copy of your birth details stored on the device;
- the backup held in our Firebase storage;
- your account, including the email address if you signed in with one.
You do not need to contact us, and there is nothing to wait for.
02Requesting deletion by email
If you have already uninstalled the app, or no longer have the phone, email helocodeio@gmail.com with the subject Delete my Nakshatra data.
So that we can find the right record, please send the email from the address you signed in with. That address is the only thing that links a backup to a person — we hold no name you gave us that we could search by, no phone number and no device identifier.
We will confirm by reply once it is done. We aim to act within seven days and will not take longer than thirty.
03What is deleted
- Your birth details — date, time and place of birth, and the name you use as a label. Deleted from our storage entirely.
- Your account — the sign-in record, including your email address where you created one.
- The local copy — removed by the in-app deletion, and by uninstalling the app.
04What is kept, and for how long
- Your email to us is kept for up to ninety days after we have acted on it, so that we have a record of the request, and is then deleted.
- Occasionally an account cannot be removed automatically. Where a sign-in is too old for our provider to accept the deletion, the account is left signed out and emptied of data. It holds nothing about you, and it is cleared on our next sweep.
- Advertising identifiers are not ours to delete. The app shows ads through Google AdMob, which uses the Advertising ID your phone provides. You can reset or delete that yourself under Settings → Google → Ads on your device. We never receive it, and we hold no copy.
- Usage and crash data is held by Google. The app sends anonymous usage events to Firebase Analytics and crash reports to Firebase Crashlytics. Neither contains your birth details, and both are kept under Google’s own retention settings rather than deleted with your account.
We keep no backups of deleted records. See the privacy policy for the full account of what the app does and does not gather.
