Entertainment purposes only. Nakshatra presents traditional astrological and almanac calculations. It does not provide medical, legal, financial, psychological or professional advice of any kind, and nothing in it should be treated as a prediction of fact or as a basis for an important decision. Always consult an appropriately qualified professional.

These terms apply to your use of the Nakshatra mobile application, published by HeloCode Labs. By installing or using the app you agree to them.

01Licence — this app is free software

Nakshatra is released under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later. It uses the Swiss Ephemeris by Astrodienst AG under the same licence.

You are free to use, study, modify and redistribute the app under the terms of the AGPL. The complete corresponding source code is published at github.com/chamod-ishankha/helocode-nakshatra.

The AGPL grants you rights that these terms cannot take away. Where anything below appears to conflict with the AGPL, the AGPL wins. In particular, you may reverse engineer, modify and redistribute this app — provided your version is also released under the AGPL with its source made available.

02What you may not do

These restrictions cover our brand and our accounts, not the code.

  • Publish a copy under the Nakshatra or HeloCode Labs name, icon or branding, or otherwise present your version as ours. The AGPL covers the source; it does not license our trademarks.
  • Interfere with the app’s advertising or purchase mechanisms, or use the app to defraud advertising or payment providers.
  • Use our advertising or service account identifiers in a derived work. Substitute your own.

03Accuracy

Astronomical calculations are performed on your device using established ephemeris data, and we take reasonable care to validate nekath, panchanga and chart output against recognised sources. Even so, traditional systems vary between schools and almanacs, and results may differ from another astrologer or a printed litha. We do not warrant that any calculation, timing or interpretation is correct or suitable for any purpose.

04Purchases and subscriptions

  • Purchases are processed by Google Play. We do not handle or store payment details.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel them at any time in Google Play under Subscriptions.
  • Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current period.
  • Refunds are governed by Google Play’s refund policy. We can assist with a request but cannot issue refunds directly.
  • Prices may change. Existing subscribers will be notified before any change affects them.

05Advertising

The free version is supported by advertising, and some features may be unlocked by watching an advertisement. We do not control the content of third-party advertisements and are not responsible for them.

06Availability

We may modify, suspend or discontinue the app or any feature at any time. We aim to give reasonable notice of significant changes but are not obliged to maintain any particular feature indefinitely.

07Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HeloCode Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any decision taken in reliance on the app’s output. The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

08Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Nothing here affects consumer rights you may have under the mandatory law of your country of residence.
